Default New Gun this weekend

Looking at getting one of 4 guns this weekend and was looking for a little help on chooseing. The first 3 are pistols and gonna be used for C&C and Carry for backup in the woods. S&W 2" .357, Tarus 454 Casull, Springfield GI 5" 1911. Also looking at ordering the FNH US PS90 (P90 sub-machinegun Civi version) Chambered in 9mm. If you like a diff make/model of the same gun please post them cause i am pretty open at the momment

I always likes the 1911 .45's. They have plenty of power and if you have to shoot somebody you don't have to worry about them getting up. I've seen a guy get shot 3 times in the gut with a .38 from around 25 yards away and get up and run away. The next day the guy that shot him went and bought a .41 magnum. If you ever have to protect yourself you don't have time to aim carefully and you want as large a bullet as you can shoot comfortably in case you don't make a perfect hit.

i was tossing around the thought of a 500sw or a 460 alaskan as well.... but 357 is much more common and easy to get ammo for.

If you accually look at the 500 or 460 S&W you might be turned off. They are HUGE. You might as well carry a rifle. Or a Thompson Center pistol chambered for Rifle cartriges. I dont see the point of packing a pistol thats damn near the size of a rifle. It defeats the whole point of a pistol.

The Springfield is the one that is on my wish list. Although a good .357 is on the list once I get all my "must have's" taken care of. Of the one's you listed I think the .357 would be the most concealable.

Now that I think about it the 9mm would be a lot of fun. I think it comes down to needs. CC vs Back up. For what you are looking at I'd go Springfield and then .357. I don't think either is a bad decision.
