i found a side by side 2 day that was an old stevens model 311c i think the guy wants 175 and at that cost i gave it a thought but was curios on maybe how old it could be and how modern sheels would treat the old gun i could see no magor rust or anything od that matter just years off were and tear any responses would be great thank you

The 311 was a cheap made shotgun, but the prices have been climbing over the last few years. As long as it's o.k. mechanically, it's worth the $175.00 price. I can't tell you the year it was made, but the 311's were made in the modern era and designed for modern lead shot loads.
