Was thinking of getting a 223 for woodchucks and coyotes and targets, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the dry box bulk full metal jacket ammo from like cabelas.

I'm deciding on the 223 because it is cheaper ammo and i don't reload but has anyone had any experience with ammo. How does it shoot accurate or is it just good for plinking with not much consistent accuracy.

that stuff you really get what you pay for I suppose its alright for plinking and target shooting but i wouldn't expect real good groups from it. Out of savage 10fp that a buddy of mine has the best groups ive seen of the bulk stuff was the higher end of 1 inch to 2 inch groups.

If you plan on using it for game, use something besides FMJ. Black Hills makes great ammo for the $$$, it is very consistent and available in hunting bullets.
