I've been comparing the Savage Weather Warrior with Accu Trigger and the Rugger M77 MkII All Weather stainless and I can only see three differences:
1) The Savage is $20 less
2) The Rugger has intagrated scope mounts
3) The Savage has the adjustable accutrigger
Does anyone know the warrenty differences between the two? If the warrentys are both strong then wouldn't the only question be is the accutrigger more important than the intagrated scope mounts?
Hmmm it seemsSavage is going for the kill in this area of rifle.

Have you looked at the Howa?....not at all expensive and it's a real gun.

I LOVE the Accu Trigger! You can adjust it yourself to set up the pull you like.My Savage 30.06 has the best trigger pull ,compared to every other gun I own.Plus there accurate right out of the box but that's already been mentioned.

Savage... 90% of the Savages will outshoot 90% of the Rugers right off the shelf with no trigger work needed... As some have suggested...take that money needed to get the Ruger shootable and buy a better scope for the Savage.

If you want to compare the Yugo to the Datsun then that's the hard choice you have to make.

If I had to lay money down on a bet and accuracy was the key, It would be bet on the Savage. I wouldn't bet on anything against the Savage. It would be a good way to loose your money. That includes the ones that guarantee accuracy in writing. From the box from gun to gun, Savage is tough to beet. As I stated before, A little tinkering with the Magazine spring has always cured feedin problems IF any problem exists. I like Rugers but Savage will ksot likely out shoot them on average.

I have regretted selling each one of my Savages . I still have some ,,, but I still miss my others . I'll always buy them . As for Ruger ,, I like the integral mount ,, but hate that I have to buy new rings . More so when I switch sites so often . A weaver or cross slot mount is versitale and your rings will fit all of your guns , Ruger rings will only fit a Ruger - and sometimes those aren't even interchangable . If you want accuracy , reliability and versatility - can't beat a savage ,, and the price is always a bargain .

I have both and I can tell you my experence is better with Ruger then savage. My .300 win mag fss116 savage is a good rifle but the barrel nut broke and it has lost its sparkle with me.I just cant get over that, it cost me a deer hunt and that is a sacred time for me. My son and I were sitting together in his handicapped deer stand custom made by me and his grandpa, when I noticed a crack in the nut now I am pissed cause deer are amoung us so I dont want to leave. So I am kinda bitter at that. None of my rugers ever let me down. none of them always ready to hunt and no barrel nut.I have a .220 swift, 25-06, 30-06 m77 ruger all with nikon buck master scopes, and a RSRH 7.5 .44 mag leupold EER 4x scope and all are great guns and scopes.

I once had a Burris scope shoot it's guts out of the elevation adjustment the day before deer season. I just couldn't seem to raise my groups, and one final adjustment led to springs and guts flying out the top. I still use Burris optics.
I once had my old chevy fail to start in front of my dates house. There she was sitting in the passanger seat waiting for dinner, and I'm under the hood. By the time I got done I needed a shower. I think we ended up eating McDonald's at around 9 pm that night. Needless to say I didn't get a second date. Yet, I still drive Chevrolet products.
I once had a Matthews bow (prototype) blow to pieces in my hands when I was testing it. wrapped cable around my neck and thoroughly horse whipped me. Ok bad example, I hate Matthews bows.
You know what? I've forgotten my point, but I'm definately starting to think that I'm Jinxed or something. I'm going now to get more insurance[8D]
