I think thats a good idea. I know there are wild onions in my area (just south of Dallas, TX). I would be realy interested in what else is out there.

Love Morels HAve you ever tried chantrells mazataukies or hedgehogs yet?
Great eats i pick them quite a bit when out hiking or hunting and fungi.com is a great place if you have a desire to grow your own.
Best advice is though go with someone who knows first dont eat one if you are not 100% sure there edible.
Maybe we could get a good consensus on weather there are enough people interested in a mushroom forum. Just a thought

IMO, I can't see morels getting an entire forum.
I think a sticky or a sub forum, appearing in camp cooking or the soon to return Off Season forum would work well. When morels start popping up, a morel fan could ask a mod to start a sub forum or sticky thread. When morel season ends, that feature can be closed.
Clearly, morel hunting falls within the hunting/fishing culture we have here. It would be a nice service to Morel fans to have some feature for them. But it is too narrow a topic, again IMO, for an entire forum for itself.
