I hunt in Maine and New Hampshire. Season opened on the 11th in Maine and I saw 3 bucks and passed shots on two small 6 pointers in the first 45 minutes of the season. This was best start by far. Hopefully letting these little bucks walk will pay dividens latter in the season. In Maine I hunt on a 3 acre parcel that is made up of tall pines and a vert thick creek bottom. Although this property is small it has proved to be my honey hole in the past. In New Hampshire I have 54 private acres as well as a very thuroughly scouted public ground in the northern reaches of the state. I can hunt from last Saturday through the middle of December. This is going to be my first season hunting entirely with my bow. Believe it nor not my bow has proven to be my most lethal weapon.

I hope I can contribute to a sucessful team effort.

Haha, This is funny. Those 3 bucks skipped on my food plots and raided my fathers garden. They ate the tops off almost all his pepers and most of his pole beans and also broke his electric fence. It looked as thought they got their racks caught up in the fence. My fathers was a bit pissed when I told him I had passed on the two buck that presented shots. He wanted revenge

Hey guys,

My name is Jeromy Speyrer and I hunt in the Texas Hill Country. We have a private lease with 1200 acres and 8 hunters. We have been practicing QDM for the last 7 years and have had great results. Last year I harvested a 130" 9 point late in the season. Not the best buck I have seen out there, but it was mature (6 1/2-7 1/2) and good enough for me. I hope to post a nice buck this year. We have seen some very nice bucks this summer that should push into the 140s and 150s. Kinda makes you think about what you aren't seeing ;) Our season starts first weekend of November and runs through the first weekend of January. We are a rifle only lease so I won't be able to take advantage of the early bow season. I always take the first week off from work and spend the entire time up at the lease hunting.

Oh, by the way. I hunt with a 22-250 and I shoot everything in the neck. I hope that doesn't offend anyone ;)

Anyways, I look forward to a good season and I hope to contribute :D

THESE TEAMS ARE FINAL. NO ALTERNATES. IF YOUR MEMBER DOESN'T CHECK IN, TOUGH, HUNT WITH WHAT YOU GOT.

Hopefully it's more then just you and me Ground Hunter. I'll try to do my part but I can't guarentee 160". I'll actually be happy if I can bring 120" to the team. It's tough to find quality bucks in my aera. Everyone in these parts shoots the first spike they see. Hopefully time and persistence will pay off If not I'll just snjoy the woods:)

Welcome aboard ladies:) I'm glad to share a team with you. As this team comes together I think I've got my work cut out for me. Being the bow only guy I don't want to be a weak heal. My second season opener is today so hopefully I can round something up quickly. Well, not to quickly. I don't want to shoot one before the contest opens:eek:.

Christine, Good luck with the keeyboard. I'd leave the kool aid keyboard out at all times and keep the good one under lock and key. Otherwise it'll likely be very soon before we read that same post again;)

Most that know me call me Chris, my 5 1/2 yr old son and I live on a 20 acre farm in WV that I have been planting food plots on for 6 years now. (May also be possibly hunting in NC this year though):) I only plant 2-3 acres and the deer seem to come here for "protection every hunting season. I always get awesome videos during the year and then the big guys go nocturnal. Some make mistakes though and living in an area where I can watch/scout all of the time helps. I only hunt for Bucks now......its a "mom" thing I think that I will eventually get over. I always hunted all seasons til I had my son. Been hunting for 15 yrs. now and have taken 28 deer. One on the wall so far....one ready from last year to be put on the wall after I pick it up.

Gun for Buck starts the Monday before Thanksgiving here....I would post the dates for muzzy season but our new pup ate my regs![:@]

My point was that I felt it was something that was maybe a cool name As in "Hunting"?? ....JMO, mind you. Nothing silent about my .06 with 180 grainers in it either. I own both and shoot my .06 always. Just was typing as I thought....Hmmmm. Sorry, but my Step-dad died yesterday morning and I am sort of numb. Thinking very clearly though......just a thought.

Just checking in team 3. My season starts Nov 1 here in Ontario. Been scouting since the spring. stands are going in 2 weeks. The big brute I have been after for 2 years is still around I have determined. My Buck fever last season let him live for one more year but hopefully that means he just scores bigger for the team this year!

I think I saw a question about where I hunt. To be more specific it is in Eastern Ontario Farm country. I mostly hunt in a huge swamp on public land. Lots of ATV trails around that provide easy access to hunt but I work my butt off and get into the swamp where nobody but the big deer are.

We also do drives during midday on some private farm land. Produces a monster buck every few years or so but most of the time it's a chance for the doe tags to get filled for the meat hunters in our camp.

I am primarily a stand hunter but if the water is deep and access is tough I carry in a small pop up blind and set up on whatever higher ground I can find.

just racks on my wall but no big mounts. Still looking for a reason for a really big taxidermy bill. This year for team 3 hopefully.

Lets play off the #3 name and be called " Team Intimidator" or just "Intimidators" - forgot to tell you guys where I hunt - Mostly SC and Alabama - Cherokee County SC and Limestone County Alabama to be exact. Dont kill allot of Deer - I'm the only one in my family who eats the meat, so I dont over do it, if you know what I mean. Biggest deer has been a 205lb 11 pointer from last year that I have proudly displayed over my mantle! Luckily, we have permission again to hunt that spot, which has been showing a good bit of activity this year - just hope it stays that way! Glad to see some women hunters on my team - I hunt alot with my aunt - she's awesome! Well - good luck and lets get to it!

So Shadow Hunters we are! I tried to save and load the logo in my sig but the file cam through too large. I'll have to wait until this weekend to updatemy sig.
