Well, I hit a buck tonight with about 15min of legal hunting time left in the day. I'm going to have to wait until morning before I track him. I'll post an update tomorrow.

Update :

Went back to my spot this morning and replayed the shot in my mind. I walked to the spot where the deer was standing and found no signs of a hit. Searched high and low and finally found my arrow buried in the thick brush. No sign that the arrow hit the deer. Appeared to be a clean miss. [:'(] I decided it was best do do a search to the last spot where I heard the deer after the shot. I found no signs of blood or hair anywhere. After about 5 1/2 hrs of searching I feel confident that the buck escaped unharmed.

Sorry for the bad luck Jeramy, you will get another chance I'm sure. Hey Bobcat, why isn't your deer entered?

well boys i was all set up last night in a field the deer feed in when some idiot showed up at the same time the deer did i almosted stuck him for being stupid i wonder if he lost his sign stupid people are suposed to wear ill make him one so if he shows up again no one will shoot him now i remember why i scout so many places to hunt the only shot i had so far was for a doe and i missed passed right under her i couldnt believe i missed i spent a lot of time shooting this year i wont miss next time

Thanks. The more I think about it the better I feel. I'd rather deal with a clean miss when I could just as easily had a bad shot that may not have been fatal.
