Howdy guys, long time no see..my computer caught a virus, couldnt post on here for about a month. i had to miss the opener because one of my friends that moved over teh summer stayed at my house for the weekend. did get some duckhunting in for an hour or two though. coudlnt find any muzzy 75's so i had to settle for rocket ultimate steel 75's. they fly real nice, got them tuned pretty well. bought a new treestand. summit coppherhead X4. works nice. hopefully im gonna get out saturday and sunday. two slobs were spotted in the valley below one of my stands out ina corn field. i think it could be a trio of bucks that i saw a few times over the summer and got away from me somehow. good luck guys

That sounds like a plan. I hope you get a shot at one of them and come back on Monday telling us the good news. It would be even better if both of us scored on Saturday and we could both add to our score.

was out still hunting/scouting today, looks like the neighbors little bean field is the hot spot. 3 runways coming off it, a coupel scrapes, some good rubs...real good trail leading all the way to the bedding area. The other hot spot is where i already have a ladder stand up..alot of rubs, a couple real fresh scrape(if they were any fresher, theyw oudl be still steaming), all sorts of good stuff. going out in a little while to hang a stand and then sit in one of them on an evening hunt.

CT has been open for the past 2 weeks. I have only been out 4 times and have only seen does and haven't had a shot present itself yet... I just hunt CT since it starts so early. Nice to get out. Season starts here October 11. I plan on hunting here for the first 4 days... the I leave for IL!!!! Hopefully i'll check a nice one for the team there...

I've been out twice myself and haven't seen much. One night I saw nothing and then I saw little buck one morning. The heat and that dang moon has been screwin with deer movement up here. This week is much cooler and I'll be out this weekend. Suppose to be highs in the lower 60's and lows in the middle 40's at night. Should be good deer shootin weather. I hope to atleast see a little bit more. It's pretty boring with nothing moving except for about 100 squirrels/chipmunks that need a dirt nap. LOL

Our season finally opens here on Sat. I have some stands set up on heavily used trails with some scrapes and rubs so I hope they're using them in the daytime. My friend that raises deer right behind our house said he saw the three monsters yesterday morning in his back yard so hopefully I'll catch them on their way there. You guys will deffinately know how I make out if I tag one of them big boys. Good luck to everyone this weekend.

found a couple new "hotspots" this week on some afternoon scouts. Lots of well used runs coming out of an "island" in the middle of a lowland swamp.. we'll see. putting up the cam tracker and stands tomorrow.

Our season opened Friday, I saw 23 deer total, 1 buck (small 4pt basket). No shots fired yet, but I'm having a blast being out there
