By the way guys... Went out for opening night in CT last night. Saw 1 nice doe w/ a skipper. It must have just lost it's spots. The little one was running around the field playing n' stuff. I've never seen one behave like that... I could have shot the big girl a couple of times, but since I have a little daughter now, I thought better of it... I'm getting soft in my old age (26) !!! Ha!!!

opening day last week i ended up not goin because it was raining from the storms. im not able to get out this weekend, but the morning weather is starting to cool off, big plus. 
ill be huntin at least twice this upcoming weekend. the weather should be a little nicer, assuming another dadgum hurricaine doesnt come, and prospects are lookin great.

Raim- these storms are starting to become a pain, even though they did get me out at lunch on thursday and made me not have school friday (didn't get any huntin done for the rain though)

I went out sunday to the honey hole to cut some lines in two stand areas I found when the rut was going hard last year, don't plan on visiting them till late Oct.
The plan has been set for that 170-180 that got the best of me three times last year, I got his doe bed peged and its not the bed they lay in, its the bed he does his work in while his neck grows

I haven't heard too much from anyone in the entire contest. I think 1 was shot but none were entered yet. As far as our team I don't know who even got out yet to do any hunting.

Opener was last weekend for us here in MN, but I wasn't able to get out. My grandfather past away, so I had all that stuff all weekend. It wasn't really good hunting weather though anyway. About 80-85 and really windy all weekend. I know quite a few guys that went out and didn't really see much at all. I should be able to get out this weekend though.
