Oh yes, still hunting holding out for a good one...I did see one but couldn't close the deal, that's hunting I guess.

Why ugly a good picture of a deer???
BAHAA HAA HAA, I know exactly what you mean!!! As Kramer once said, "look away, I am hideous!!" One more reason to wear a mask in my pictures. :D

Keep at it guys, it only takes a few seconds and an entire season can be turned around.

I must be losing my touch for seeing deer in the spots I pick to hunt. Friday night had nothing come by but then there was a lot of traffic on the road I was near. Never would have thought roadhunting would be good for muzzle loaders but apparently I was wrong.[:@][:'(]

Saturday nothing close except for a bald eagle landing 15 feet right above me. Not telling you who was more alarmed when our eyes met.:D He did decide it was too crowded in the tree and left though!! LOL

Tonight proved to be no deer again within bow range. Saw 2 bucks and a doe that weren't even close. [:@] I hunted the tough spot where I passed on the big buck with rifle. Wind was marginal to say the least for sitting on the ground. Had 3 coyotes come strolling/hunting by me at different times. All were well within bow range but didn't want to mess the hunt up for the buck so I passed. As I walked out at dusk, I did see a big buck feeding outside of the bedding area I was hunting. He came out of the bedding area where I want to be but next to impossible to get into without getting busted. I pushed it today with the spot I picked. Flustrating to say the least.

No hunting till probably next weekend. Gotta come up with a game plan to get into the one spot if the wind is right. I love pushing it when it comes to bowhunting but this is extreme even for me, especially since it is in his bedding area. Will take nothing short of a miracle to pull it off.

Don't give up on me yet guy's....we still have 4 weeks here in WV of hunting, and the weather is just now getting really cold. Should be getting some snow flurries soon, and by the end of the year we should have a couple good snow's.

Keep at it TJF....the deer couldn't have just disappeared.

The deer have just started settling down from last week's invasion from the north. The gun fire has slowed alot. Might hear one shot a day now, compared to 15+ last week. The deer are starting to hit the fields again, and they are not as jumpy. The snow should be coming in the next two week's, and that is my fav. time to hunt.

Anybody got any hunting left in them? Good news: I have a hunt scheduled in January on some sweet land that I have been wanting to hunt for years! Bad news: I can only shoot does. Oh well, better than nothing. I may make it out the last weekend of the season looking for a buck.

Got a buddy coming up to hunt in the morning and Monday. He interested in trying ground hunting with bow. He will have first dibbs the way we will be setup tomorrow morning. Scouted the area tonight and seen a couple respectable bucks. Course since the deer usually have a mind of there own and don't always follow the game plan, maybe I will get lucky.

Monday hopefully I can setup in the area different so I've get a decent shot if one presents itself.

Otherwise, I have one more weekend of hunting. Need to get it done!!

Well thanks to our lovely weather ( mini snow storm ) today, I well try one last time time tomorrow before the seasons ends tomorrow night.

I saw Sticker Buck Friday morning on the way out to work. He was the one I passed on a couple times earlier hoping he would make it another year. Rumors had it, he was shot a few weeks ago right after I saw him last. Thank God most rumors are false. Couldn't resist putting both fists in the air and shouting, " He's Alive !!!!! ", when I saw him. Wife thought I was nuts when I told her. :D Must admit I was bummed big time when the rumor started and regretted passing on him on account of it. Going to hunt the area I saw him running does the last two times. Not sure what I will do if I get another chance at him. Hopefully another buck shows first or I don't get a chance at him. I usually don't get hung up on a certain buck to this extreme, but this one just fascinates the h3ll out me for some reason.

Goodluck to anyone hunting.
