I am heading back out to the woods this afternoon. I am hoping that this last hurricane (Ivan) has had them bedded down for a couple olf days and they will be up and moving. On the plus side, the weather will be a little cooler than last weekend and the wind will be dying down later today. Anybody seeing any good shooters yet?

Did you see anything David? I haven't seen anything as of lately but I did set up a treestand in that new spot i told you guys about. I have a REAL good feeling about this area. I set up my camera on the same trail my stand is on and got 13 pictures in 5 days, which is really good for me. I want to run out the rest of the film before I get it developed. But I'll post the pics if there is anything worth seeing. I bought Monster Bucks XI Volumes 1 and 2 off of Ebay for 13.50 last week, so that is all I've been watching. Boy, talk about being pumped for the season. I hope I don't run myself out before the season is here, yeah right.

what's goin on guys. sorry I haven't posted, it was a super long week. I did manage to get up to the lease friday though, and man was it great. I saw well over 200 deer on our property alone and that was only in a 400 acre section. there were turkeys everywhere! I saw several nice bucks and one monster. He was eating under one of my stands!!! Lets hope he is there in 2 weeks. I can't sleep at night... I got it bad.

Had a great hunt Friday afternoon. The weather played out perfectly. Deer started moving around 6:00 and at one point I had around 14 deer in view. I never did see a big buck that was worth sticking but I did take a very nice 115lb doe. Putting fresh meat in the freezer takes the pressure off. Now I can concentrate on that big fella I spotted a few weeks ago.
