First weekend results.

I never got to pull on anything this weekend but it was a great hunt. I had 6-7 deer come by but none were quite withing shooting range. One was a very nice 8 point. I did a little stand adjustment (moved about 40 yards) and should see some results next weekend. All of the deer were moving in the afternoon, I didn't see a thing on Sat or Sun morning.

MO, I would say make sure you go to a army surplus store and pick up some permanone. The stuff works for weeks and had very very little smell. Ticks won't go near you. just make sure you spray it on your clothes and not your skin.

Hey, did you guys see on the "what teams will be in the top 5 " thread?

Nobody is giving us much of a chance!

Man, we have some of the best whitetail states covered! That is OK though, just let `em keep thinking that way.

Team # 3......don`t hate us cause you ain`t us!!!

BTW, I have cranked out 4 P&Y bucks in the last 5 seasons....and this year should not be any different.

4 weeks in Pike county, Illinois should do the trick!

Good luck guys....and lets make the other teams wish they were us!![8D]

Yea they only reason we aren't getting that much credit is because we don't constantly bash other teams like other do. My best chance for a big buck will be on one of my 2 trips to the MO/IA border. Cornfed monsters.

Let them all do the talking, we'll do all the walking. Just watch our numbers add up when everyones season gets under way. I feel real confident this year. Of course I feel confident at the beginning of every year.

I agree, doesn't look like we're getting much credit. I have some high expectations for this team. We have a lot of good spots covered. We'll be the sleeper team that nobody will see coming up with the big ones.

Well no biggins...Deer didnt cooperate too much. It was hot, mid 80's but great to be back in the woods. Permanone did the trick. No ticks and chiggers to speak of. As things start to cool down, hunting will be more enjoyable and the biggins will be out in full force.
