Well its not been the best season for me this year but after killling 2 p&y class bucks last fall I was kinda ready for a let down year. We had a bad blue tongue kill off this year in my area and I am blaming that for the few deer sightings this fall. I have saw very few adult does and 4 or 5 shooter bucks so far. I have seen many young bucks so the future does look bright ( if I can stop from shooting to many of them).

So anyway here is my buck from this year. I shot him the last of october but I have been away from the internet (only have access at work right now) due to my vacation and am just now posting pics.



He's a nice 1 1/2 year old 8 pt. that grosses around 75. I told myself I was going to hold off on shooting a year and a half old buck this year but theres just something about putting an arrow thru a deer that I love!! I had planned on shooting a doe but like I said earlier with so few adult doe sightings this year I didn't think it would be good to shoot a doe. Pllus I honestly cant recall having a good shot at a doe yet this year!!

Hey Ill Buck,there is nothing wrong with him and definately not a let down,and awesome table fare.A big congrats to ya.If you read my post on bad luck then you will notice I get busted by a 8 point about the size of yours.Not sure if I was goina shoot it or not but sure would have been nice to be prepaired if I had chose to.

It's about time for him to reappear with a monster buck as usual. I pm'd him about a month ago but got no word. I was just curious if he'd pm any of you.

Way to go ILLBuck!!! Nice deer, regardless of the size of the rack.

For the rest of you slackers...It's NOV 24th!! We are currently in 8th place. Let's get some deer on the ground.

Fear Not fellow ILNYPAKY-EHNS - I'm but a few weeks away from my special hunt in an overpopulated park. I've passed several small bucks this year so as not to ruin the chance at one of these park monsters. Hopefully it won't come back to haunt me! They say the state record will come from this park this year.

On a side note - ELVIS is Dead :( The giant buck I've been hunting and watching since last year was taken 500 yards from my stand last Sunday evening. He was 16 points and big enough to make the local news.

Well fellas, I am off yet again to try my luck at a little pre-2nd season hunting. I have up until next thursday off from worrk to try and sneak in on one.

Congrats ILL BUCK, thanks for making up for us slackers!! If I could judge yardage a little better, I could have had one already...oh well.
