For all you in question about our finish....stayed tuned. It's way too early to think we wont win.

It's about quality and inches boys. And we have the prime land and the know how to get it done.

By the way...deer are beginning to cruise more in daylight hours here.. and this weekend is looking great. Can't wait. Maybe one of us can shut these other teams up. Good luck and safe hunting.

Funny, we haven't heard much from Buckeye.....

I don't have alot to say now the seasons open. Busy hunting...... I have only saw one shooter so far, no shot oppertunity though. Bout' 80 yards out. Thats about 40 to far LOL.

Due to work I have had 18 oppertuinties to hunt and have made it out 15 of them. Took hunting off tonight last thurs and fri evenings. Thats all I have missed for evening hunts 3 of em. I've made it for every weekend morning hunt as well.

On a side note. Things will heat up real soon though. I haven't counted any teams out yet as some seem to have. Sure they have a big lead now over most of the teams but the good buck hunting hasn't even started yet. Good luck guys. Later.

Had to reply to appease Kcison. Didn't want to let you down

Almost made me misty eyed to hear from you buckeye.

It's Friday and all I can think about is big 8 and getting into my stand in the morning. Weather is going to be in the 30s and deer are a moving.

Good luck to everyone.

The deer were moving this morning! On may way to my parking area almost hit a very nice 8pt , he stopped looked at me, then proceeded to walk into the woods. 200yds further 3 does in the road. I get to my tree and make my way up, as I get to my position I hear something that sounds like it's playing in the creek below me. As I'm pulling up my bow I see a fat doe walking thru the creek 25yds away, I get my bow in hand and get ready, it's barely shooting light so I turn on my red light on the sight so I can see the pin a little better, then she comes up the creek bank broadside at 15yds I draw back and aim, where did she go I can't see her? I open my left eye and see her perfectly clear, still holding my draw I try aiming again and still can't see her the red light is so bright all I can see is a red glow and can't see past the pin. Ilet down very slowly hoping not to spook her and turn the light off and by this time she is behind the brush and never offered another shot. Lesson learned don't use the red light!!![:@]

I went out this evening and had a blast.I had a nice doe travel past my stand at about 15 yards and she hung around for a while. It was the only deer i seen this afternoon, again the wind was real strong and i dont think the deer like to move much in the wind.About 15 min after she left the area a red fox decided to pay a visit and he was tearing up a log off to my left side,I was really enjoying watching him as he hung around for a good 10-15 min as well. And last but not least about 1/2 hour before dark 16 turkeys came strutting past my stand(no open season in fall)one was a really big tom and they decided to roost in the same area i was in.Now it was a little tricky to get out of my stand without spooking the turkeys or anything else in the area for that matter but i think i did o.k.
I hope the wind stops tonight and the rain holds off for the morn because i will be out first thing, its really getting cool now so it should be a big advantage i hope.I will post tomorrow night and let you guys know how my days hunt went--take care

Already in from the morning hunt. Saw many deer, and a few nice looking bucks, but not the one I'm looking for. It's muzzleloader this weekend and heard quite a few blasts, so I opted to pull out early and let the other hunters push the deer onto our farm.

The next time I'll step into a stand will be in Kansas on Oct 30th. I'm too pumped to sleep. The outfitter said with all the rainfall in KS this year, the rack development is great. He's been seeing some absolute monsters and took at 190" plus himself one month ago during their early muzzleloader season. Anyhow, keep at it and I'll check in to see how we are doing and let you know how my KS trip went.
