Sorry guys I've been without internet access for the past 3-4 days waiting for my cable to be installed. This cable is amazingly fast.

I went out monday for my final scouting and marking of my stand sites. I got good news from a neighbor who doesn't hunt. He said that about 6-8 bucks are crossing his property and going right by my stand. He said one is a huge 8pt.:D

awesome Hammerman, i hope you get to stick one or two of those big'uns!

just an update, Todd Graf signed on and said hes working on a prize for teh winning team. i think that is great and all but now that there is something at stake there will be LOTS of bickering and crap. so here is what i sugest. we play BY THE RULES! as if we were not already but just saying, also we take pictures of the deer that we take from the front and side, no goofy camera angles that make the deer seem bigger, no sitting 3 feet away from it, blah blah blah. and let just have fun!

also we have to pick up the pace here... we are at the bottom of the list! ;) we need to get back into the groove of it.

I went out and hung 3 stands on Sunday and have only 1 more to hang. Clean a few shooting lanes and I will be ready to roll.

I have a roll of film waiting to get devoloped, so we will see if I got any bucks on it. The last roll was all does and fawns.

Other than that, I have been busy working!!

Hey guys,

Well, all the food plots are planted, I think there are 6 or 7 now. We are getting a good rain, and the planting I did on Saturday is already sprouting up!

My hang on stand is hung on a hillside right below a patch of pine trees. The deer will come out of the creek bottom, move up the hill, usually funneling past this stand, and they will stage up in the pines before moving into the fields! The great thing is that the area they stage up in now has a food plot in it that has been seeing alot of use.

My ladder stand is hung on the corner of x-mas tree patch that is surrounded on 3 sides by woods. There is a 6 foot wide trail that is mowed the whole way around the x-mas trees and the deer seem to travel the trail alot. Right behind my ladder stand is where a small creek spills into the large stream! There is a heavy deer trail at the small creek right up from where it spills into the large stream, and this trail leads 15 yards to the right of my stand and right into the mowed trail around the x-mas trees!

Built a brush blind on the edge of a powerline that was cut several years back. This powerline has been one of the hottest spots for deer activity as it leads from a golden rod field where the deer stage up, to a corn/alfalfa field where the deer feed!

Finally, the pond stand is ready! This is probablly going to be my biggest stand site as it has always been a hot spot in the past (killed 4 of my bucks and a bunch of doe from this spot)!

sounds like you have yoru spots covered there Buck magnet....

and i agree with you on the waiting part. thats the hardest part. mi dieing here. i have seen some big boys walking around at night. i think they have started rubbing off the velvet, because the last buck i saw was a little bloody and had velvet hanging off his head. it is always a nice sight! but he wasnt a big bow just a small 3x3. he will be a passer.

on a lighter note, i have noticed teh trash talking come to a slow down, there are lots of teams now and its too hard to graze them all. i am sticking to this one, and i see we are slipping in our rankings.. we let team pass'n'gas get ahead of us on post count... but that might be because of hot air.
