IL bowman, the original comedian, comes by and drops a line then disappears back to team 4, are we really that interesting??

I believe we have crossovers in our thread also!! But I did notice rack started on you guys fairly early though!!

I didn't just disappear to team 4, I am lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce, just getting ready for Oct 1!!

On a side note, with all good intentions.... GOOD LUCK GUYS!! Lets all get some nice deer to make this more interesting!! for those of you going for second!!

Guys, I hunt 640 acres. 500 acres of hardwoods with plenty of white oaks and about 140 acres of CRP pines that are about 12 yrs old that have been thinned and it's thick!! We have a very large creek which winds through the middle of the property which is mostly bottomland. We have hills on both the North and south sides of the creek bottom. The bottom land talke up about 2/3's of the property. New territory for us, as we just got the lease, but we have been scouting, cutting in trails, and will be planted food plots in the next few weeks.

We do however have a 8 point/16" spread in effect, so I'll have to a least wait for one that big to come by. Which shouldn't be a problem. One of the largest gross typical eight points in the state was killed about 2 miles from our property, and two P&Y bucks were killed off of our property last year. We have deer!! Gonna take me a while to pattern them once the season starts. I'll be hunting a climbing stand this year so I can move frequently!!

Just playing around with a team logo.........first try. Each person will have their name under the pic. Or we could put everyones name under it. Will play around with it later when I have time.

Uphunter15 where in the UP do you live, I used to live in Marguette. Always good to have a yooper on the team. Where do you hunt??
I live in Quinnesec which is right outside Iron Mountain. My hunting is mostly in Dickinson county, Ralph area and on our old family farm in the outskirts of Iron Mountain. Only takes me 6 minutes to get to the farm from my house so I get to hunt a lot in the 3 months. I usually get my buck the week before rifle season when the rut is on but I wont shoot the small ones. I am aiming for 8pts or better with a decent rack but if it is a BIG six or seven, I wont pass it up!!! I shoot mostly does and wait for the bigger bucks, shoot more deer with the digital camera than I do with arrows but I remain 100% serious the whole season. We have a six point rule for our area, which I love, so the little ones can grow. Our house rule is BIG six or more or let it walk. As far as at camp, cant get the old timers to pass anything up and they think I am nuts for passing bucks up myself. Oh well, old habits die hard!!!

Glad to be with you guys and I see we have a few comedians form the other teams!!! As I say "Funny man brought a joke!!!" Let them talk, they cant shoot all the big ones!!!! Good luck guys!!!
