RE: Team 19 Thread
Guys, I hunt 640 acres. 500 acres of hardwoods with plenty of white oaks and about 140 acres of CRP pines that are about 12 yrs old that have been thinned and it's thick!! We have a very large creek which winds through the middle of the property which is mostly bottomland. We have hills on both the North and south sides of the creek bottom. The bottom land talke up about 2/3's of the property. New territory for us, as we just got the lease, but we have been scouting, cutting in trails, and will be planted food plots in the next few weeks.
We do however have a 8 point/16" spread in effect, so I'll have to a least wait for one that big to come by. Which shouldn't be a problem. One of the largest gross typical eight points in the state was killed about 2 miles from our property, and two P&Y bucks were killed off of our property last year. We have deer!! Gonna take me a while to pattern them once the season starts. I'll be hunting a climbing stand this year so I can move frequently!!
