For the price i settled on an entry level Barnett that has been good the last 3 years. Have liked shooting the Excal models though.

Like Buckhunter, I had a Horton 150 that was a descent bow but it broke(my fault). I researched & researched weighed the pros/cons and ended up with a Excalibur Vortex. I absolutely love it, great service and if I need anything, the rep for the United States is only a 30 min drive from my house.

Excalibur Vortex for me. Absolutely AWESOME! 330 fps reliable, simple and can replace string in the woods. No cables or pulleys's, but to each his own. Ten Point is great if you like compounds.

I've a Scorpyd SLP 165 bow.

It won't accept cheap arrows, only likes top shelf ones, but except for that I've shot it hundreds of times and it's working great. And @ 425 fps, I guess the arrow requirement is something that goes with the territory.
