If you have been reading my posts recently you know i just bought a horton tacoma. I received it on august 11th, well today i put it together and as i was ****ing it the limb popped. I lowered it back down as it wasn't completely ****ed, checked and one limb is cracked up at the fork near the wheel. I've packed it up and waiting till morning to get an ra#, then to horton it goes. I can't beleive it cracked while trying to **** it, and i was using a rope ****er. I chose the tacoma over the panzer but now i wonder, how long does it take to get a bow back? I live in ky. So it won't take long to ship. Thanks

Wow! What a bummer. It is a shame that any manufacturer, especially one considered to be one of the "major" players in this market, would allow such a relatively easy to identify problem to go out the door. This seems like a fundmental point of a QA inspection to make sure that limbs are 100% perfect. Maybe that is too expensive a rate of QA or has proven that a "sampling" is adequate. But for sure in this case, the limb problem was not detected.

horton received my front end today with one broken limb, they called me and told me that they weren't going to replace the limb. they are going to give me a whole front end, and ship it to me by ups and get it to me by tuesday. great service, A+ to horton.

+1 on the Horton Service. A few years back, I pulled my Steelforce out to start sharpening up my skills for hunting season and the little piece on the end of the bow (heavy plastic) was broken. I called to order a new one....they overnightd it to me no charge since hunting season was coming. Can't beat that.
