Wyvern Creations

I've been trying to reach Wyvern Creations for the last couple of days and all I get is their answering machine. Does anyone know if they are open?

coyote170 03-02-2010 06:28 PM

StoredEnergy 03-03-2010 04:13 AM

You should click his banner advertisement on this website. It will take you directly to him.:s2:

Have you tried his website forum or maybe his ebay store?

I don't know who you are, but being a newbie here and reading your posting; I quickly realized you are not a nice person. I read your postings on Archery Talk and now here. Seems you are of the same caliber as Urban Legend. From what I have read; Wyvern is a well thought of and well respected business man; whom both you and Urban Legend are very envious of. Maybe you should take your sarcasm and innuendos some place else; where people are the same as you.

Wyvern Crossbow 03-03-2010 01:53 PM

I was away at a trade show this weekend, but before I left Thursday, and before I could change the message on the machine, New Hampshire got hit with hurricane force winds that caused most of the state to go dark. We only JUST got our power back this morning and now I am playing catch-up. If I had power on my computer I would have posted this issue but that was not going to happen as soon as I would have liked. OneBear: Thanks :) Seriously...he is not worth the effort...let him have his fun...:)

Yes, you are correct, you are a newbie and I will say that the first rule of internet posting on a new forum is to lurk for some time before posting. This would provide you the background for your comments. Reading one page in a book does not give you a thorough synopses.

Yes, Wyvern sells equipment and his recommendations revolve around his business. There are several dittoheads that will immediately chime in to tell you how great he is. You should take that for what it worth. There are gems to be gleaned in what he says but just remember he is on the forum to sell product.

Most forums don't allow posters to use the forum to sell goods. That is why the site sells banner ads and has sponsors. WC does not support the forums that he uses as the primary source of getting new customers. His posts fundamentally revolve around his business. Imagine what the forum would be like if there were four or five people vying for your business. Do you think you would get a more balanced view then?

Forums are not for dealers, they are for increasing the knowledge base within the industry. There are other forums that have 5 to 10 times the posting traffic that this site and atalk has combined. Those other sites have dealer / manufacturer specific forums that allow you to ask manufacturers reps directly.

Wyvern Crossbow 03-03-2010 03:27 PM

"His posts fundamentally revolve around his business."

Yep...just keep telling yourself that...:)

Yes, I will say it because it is true. The majority of your posts are about products directly or indirectly that you sell. Your reviews of the shows are heavily biased on products that you sell. Would you be on these forums to this extent that you are if it wasn't for your business?

Wyvern Crossbow 03-03-2010 06:15 PM

Yes, I would be on here because I am an archer, and a crossbow enthusiast first. You have so little clue about me or why I am on these forums its sad. My reviews have gotten me into trouble with manufactuers because I point out the negatives on them as well as the positives. If all I wanted to do was sell those items all I would post would be the positives. Unless I am the only one that has an item available I always note that any item I bring up can be gotten at any authorized dealer. What a great idea for a marketing plan...promote the sales of other businesses!! Ive finally gotten tired of this. You "claim" you are part of the industry but refuse to say with who or where. Why dont you grow a pair and tell us all who you really are and who you work for and then we can at least see if your as full of crap as I think you are. From all the back and forth I have had with you all I see is a small person who is extreamly insecure. It is pretty sad...you may actually have something positive to add to these forums.

What a joke:barmy: Of course his posts are about products he sells, Which is nearly every major brand, save one, lol. I suspect that's the 'tie-in' company that drives you:evil:. They are still junk!

Go away.

Having a bad week, SE? Chill out. You heavily bashed me over at AT earlier this week, now you are over here at it again with others. Cabin Fever?

vapahunter 03-05-2010 09:10 AM

Having been looking on many forums for information on crossbows I definitely feel I know who I can trust to buy from. SE you and any of your recommendations would not be one of them. I have even meet with some company reps and WC has come recommended by them as a reputable place to do business. So as I am only a inconsistent poster take what I saw with a grain of salt just like you should take others that way and do your own complete research on anybody.

Dnk 03-05-2010 06:42 PM

I have been here and at a few other forums for a long time and I welcome Wyvern's post and reports. David does, without question, give us readers un-biased opinions that I suspect have saved people both money and trouble. So the question begs Stored Energy, why would you do what you do? I don't just mean trying to make David look bad but why extend yourself like you did? I see no purpose to what you did so why not enlighten us on your real agenda?

coyote170 03-06-2010 05:52 AM

Well said!

Urban Legend 03-06-2010 09:23 AM

You association with Jeff as a mod does not ad to his reputation with me at all.
Just for the record, SPECIALIZED is the only MOD I have on my site. And he uses his name on every forum. This other guy has no ties to CN.

Sorry Jeff, I screwed up didn't I?

StoredEnergy 03-06-2010 09:40 AM

After reading the response from the Mod on AT (and having great respect for the authority of the Mods) decided to no longer comment on the topic. A monopoly benefits no one but the primary in the long term.

It is not my intention to disrupt the forum and unfortunately this is what I have done. If I have offended anyone I apologize.

dmznimrod 03-17-2010 07:28 AM

wow, is about all i should say, but it isn't all i'am gonna say. i just talked to dave at wyverns for the first time in my life in febuary and after talking to the man i bought my strykforce from him along with other things. he never at any time in our conversation tried to sell me anything, far from it. all david did was answer the many questions i had about products, without hesitation pro or con. he ran no con game on me for one product over another. i can see no foundation for all the negative comments about wyverns(dave) quite the contrary he's a stand up guy who i would buy from anytime and refer people to anytime.

briarpatch 04-10-2010 05:45 PM

this is my first post here...but anyone who's been around the other crossbow forums out here have seen my name before. I'm the same one from crossbownation, crossbowforum, and newjerseycrossbow. I've never done business with Wyvern, but everyone I know who has dealt with him has been satisfied. I got 'edited' on CN for using his (Wyvern) name in a post....I still find that strange....

by the way...happy to be here..

coyote170 04-10-2010 07:25 PM

Welcome to the forum. Same thing happened to me on CN... remember they also have a store, selling the same stuff as Wyvern. No problem... just have to remember where I am before any posts re: where to buy :D

BTW, I've purchased 4 bows from David (Wyvern).. top notch service, very knowledgeable.. and willing to help. Wish he was local, so I could just walk into his shop, but I've never had a problem reaching him by email or phone.

Cajun Executioner 04-14-2010 01:50 AM

Loyal Wyvern Customer here!!

I ordered a Tenpoint Turbo XLT from Wyvern two days ago. I checked the order today and it was not processed yet. I was concerned that I may have given him the wrong credit card number or the product was on back order or something like that. I sent David an email through his site and he called my house IMMEDIATELY! I am currently offshore on a drilling rig so I wasn't able to take the call, my wife took the call. David called and was very apolgetic and told my wife that he was going to take care of it right away and send me some free stuff (I won't mention what it is) and that he was very sorry but it has been one of those weeks from helll (I completely understand). My wife kept telling me how apologetic he was and how nice he was over the phone...(my wife won't normally go on about something like that, but she just kept telling me how apologetic and nice he was).

Dave, you made some brownie point with my wife.... You have a loyal cutomer here buddy!!

All I can say is Wyvern's has my business from here on out! If he can make my wife happy about me ordering a $900.00 crossbow...He's got my business.

Thanks David!! I will probably be calling you to order a soft case for my Xbow before long.

briarpatch 04-14-2010 10:26 AM

rt_con,coyote170....thank you for the welcome.

Wyvern Crossbow 04-14-2010 05:36 PM

Thanks for understanding :)
"week from Hell" is an understatement :)...you bow is on its way to you....let us know how you like it and thanks again :)

Wyvern

damjr 04-16-2010 06:07 AM

I called Wyverns yesterday too ask some questions about a bow and kit I wanted, he took the time to explain everything and answered all my questions completely, I am going to order the bow and kit today. Just from speaking with him I have confidence that he will provide an "TRULY OUTSTANDING" customer experience. I will post back after I receive my stuff and let ya know.

Firemandon 05-04-2010 04:20 PM

Hey guys new to the forum here and just got my first X Bow from Wyvern this past Monday. It is a Wicked Ridge Warrior and I love it. I just want to say thanks to Wyvern Creations for the quick delivery and answering my 10 phone calls I gave asking questions........I promise there will be many more to come. As of right now my Warrior is sighted in and seems to be everything they have been made out to be. (Remember this is coming from a Newbie)

coyote170 05-05-2010 02:40 AM

Enjoy that bow,you bought it from the best!!:barmy:

Wyvern Crossbow 05-05-2010 09:30 AM

Every body has to start and was a newbie at one time!

ShortBolt 06-05-2010 02:55 PM

I called to order a scope and get some questions answered. Dave is great and will take all the time necessary to give you the answers. I highly recommend Wyverns for all your crossbow needs.

Tenpoint TL-9 06-05-2010 07:44 PM

David is the man to go to for the right information. He won't sell you something that you don't need.

rcd567 06-12-2010 09:29 AM

Guess I'll find out as I ordered a Vision, a press, and some arrows from him yesterday.

J.M.A.N. 07-13-2010 11:06 AM

CN is a joke....I don't even go over there anymore because of thier bias and pias attitude.

rcd567 07-14-2010 06:00 AM

I've had my Vision for almost a month and I love it. David @ Wyvern has been very helpful and I've placed an order with him just about every week for the past 4 weeks.

He's knowledgable and passionate in every aspect of Crossbows.
