I went from a compound to a Excalibur Phoenix 175 lb what should I expect arrow speed advertised the same. Do you lose foot pounds of energy with a recurve over compound.

The Phoenix will get the advertised 305 fps with a minimum weight arrow (350 g) and a Flemish string. Mine shoots at 290 with a 405 g arrow and my own Flemish. Foot lbs is the same if velocity/arrow weight are same.
