Default Parker BuckBuster 175 trigger help tried to dry fire (accident)

I have a Parker BuckBuster 175. After shooting 20 or so times at my target today I hate to say but I forgot to put the arrow in the crossbow and pulled the trigger. I am pretty sure this crossbow has some kind of failsafe device because it didn't fire, that is a good thing. The problem now is that after the 'click!' I can't figure out how to get the arrow back in to fire it. A little thing popped up in front of where the arrow goes in to meet the string and now I can't get the arrow all the way in and it the trigger won't fire. Anybody? Thanks.

re-**** the bow. You have to pull the string back into place again to re-set the trigger. Hook up the rope aid and give it a good tug...you will hear another "click" and you will be able to load and fire and arrow again...yes, that is how the anti dry fire system works on that bow...better than blowing it up

Yes, I'm glad that feature is there! I'll try it. I plan on using it next week. Archery season here in VA opened today.

That worked! Thank you. I shot an arrow at a tree in my back yard, that was fun. I can't believe a carbon arrow doesn't explode under that kind of force. It's not coming out of that tree though.

Tree stand is set up, I put out some flagging for distance, ready to go next week, I can't wait!

You can also develop a problem condition if the bowstring is pulled up far enough to deactivate the anti dryfire device (DFI), but not far enough for the hooks to catch the string. The bow can't be ****ed when this happends. FIX: depress the DFI with something that fits between DFI and scope base (flat screwdriver blade or piece of wood) while pulling the trigger. Hooks will pop back up allowing the bow to be ****ed again.
