I am going to buy a crossbowthis summer and cannot decide which maker to buy. I would like to get the complete package Bow Tech has on the Desert Stryker. It does have a much higher price tag than many other set-ups I've seen. I missed the chance to buy the Bow Tech set up from Sportsmans Warehouse here in Roanoke. The Desert Styker was at $1,000 and went down to $699 as they closed shop. Do I really need to spend more than $500?

Do you NEED to, perhaps not. But if you don't get what you want you'll likely be kicking yourself later.

I personaly only inventory the bare bow( well, now it is the Strykeforce as the DS is discontinued)and make up packages with better components. I personaly dont think the parts that are inclueded wiht the package are worth $100.00 but that is my opinion

I got the package at Sportsmans Warehouse (desert Striker) and it was $599 my brother went the next day and he got it for 10% less[:@], Sure is a sweet shooter. I put a ten point scope on it (I had One) The sling is not much but I only go out the back door to hunt,so it will do. The 4 arrows are fine, the 3 dot scope I put on the 10 point StealthX-2 and that will be my back-up bow (very nice bow). Shot the DS at 30 and dead on, next line 3" high at 40 yards. Very happy with the DS. Heavy trigger but no play. Any way the DS might be the way to go
