Dnk how did u get that camo on it?

RE: Excaliber Vixen?
That's my bow. (Codsterboy). I bought it that way. The molded plastic is CAMO!!! It's not spray paint or tape. I don't what year it is or if it happens to be some special limited edition? All the ones I had seen were the derrhide brown, so when I seen this one for sale I jumped all over it!

RE: Excaliber Vixen?
Those style stocks are all interchangable. I suspect it came off another Excal if bought used or was a factory glitch if bought new. Like it better than the brown in any event!:)

RE: Excaliber Vixen?
I bought it used. But what about the limbs? So then what differentiates a Vixen vs. another excalibur crossbow?? If you can interchange the parts??? Forgive me I'm still new at this crossbow stuff!!!

ORIGINAL: codsterboy I bought it used. But what about the limbs? So then what differentiates a Vixen vs. another excalibur crossbow?? If you can interchange the parts??? Forgive me I'm still new at this crossbow stuff!!! to my knowledge the only difference between them(the non thumbhole stock ones anyway) is a difference in draw length, or power stroke, wether they achive that by changing the length of the rail, the length of the riser, or a combination of bothI have no idea, I'm sure theres more than a couple people on here that could say for sure though I wouldthinkmaking a camo vixenwould be as simple as swapping out whatever partsmake the vixen different ontoa phoenix... or maybe the way to go is just to buy the camo limbs and stock... without knowing for sure what parts are different, or what they cost, its hard to say(for me anyway) what would be the cheapest way to go about doing it parts-wise, or if parts can even be bought seperate for a conversion like this without much hassle,I've thought about it, but I've never actually looked into it... I still say they should just offer it from the factory... |
RE: Excaliber Vixen?
The camo model was the "Vixen Deluxe" offered by Excalibur for about a year or sobefore they changed the riser to angle the limbs forward andoffered the Phoenix, exocet 200, and exomax. I guess they figured the new models would be the majority of the sales and dropped the camo Vixen Deluxe from the lineup.
The limbs are the same on all Excaliburs, the only difference from one model to the next is the rail length. |
RE: Excaliber Vixen?
are those peep sights on the vixen?
