Default HELP!! Ten Point or Barnett???

Hey guys, I have a crossbow question for you,, I knowlittle about them, and am buying my father in law one for Christmas. I have found two at a shop here in town, and dont know which to get.
1. Ten Point Slider, adjustable up to 165 lbs, 290 fps. $329 bow only w/hat.lol
2. Barnett Quad 4?? 345 fps, package with scope, quiver and 4 bolts .$299.
I hear that Ten Point crossbows are better, but Im sure this is an entry level bow from them, and I havent heard much about the quality of the Barnett bows. The Ten Point seems much lighter (but doesnt have a scope and quiver on it either) and it feels more comfortable, better finish etc. But it is slower, and will have to get a scope, bolts, quiver, etc. Which one is the better model? Are these good prices for either one. Thanks for any help you can give me,, Also, we are trying to stay in the $300 price range, since this will be his first crossbow, and not sure how much he will actually use it. Thanks again.

would also choose the tenpoint. They make very accurate reliable bows. Not that barnett doesn't I just never shot one.

No real choice there. IMHO Tenpoint makes the best compound crossbow on the market. Excalibur makes the best recurve crossbow on the market. And both companies have excellent customer service.

BTW I ran acros this review on the new Barnett Revolution AVI. The review Barnetts "top of the line" Xbow speaks for its self.
