I have some dupont teflon multi lube. It is wax based and it leaves a slight white residue. Says its safe for anything. You guys think this would make a good rail lube? I use it on the trigger assembly of my shotgun to keep it from freezing while duck hunting. Seems to work well.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I Keep my string and serving well waxed after every shooting session and will rewax if shoot more than 15 times. My rail lube of choice is nothing else than Crisco shortening. I got a tub of it that I use for shooting my black powder pistol. I keep it in an all plastic syringe that holds 60mg's used to give small kids medicine.
Its slicker than snot, orderless, and cheap. Think a 1lb tub is $3.

I had a similiar post back in August, I think, and had many helpful suggestions. The one I am using now is I use vaseline. Keeps the rails nice and slick. I use my daughters old contact case (cleaned and dryed very well) and I fill both sides with it and stick it in my pack.
