sproulman first you complain about crossbows bringing new hunters into "your woods" which are actually PUBLIC LANDS which everyone has the right to use. Then you complain about someone shooting fawns and not the does because it will hurt the deer herd. THen you complain that the way and what people kill is wrong, even if the courts say that it is ok.

First of all, I do not think that the departments that oversee these things is always correct, but then, most people that criticize them is more ofter then not, incorrect more then those organizations. Just maybe the courts sided with the government because they were correct in what they are allowing to be killed, and your wrong.

Also, your idea as to deer management is way off. You think it is better to shoot a doe and leave a fawn in the hopes to increase the deer herd, you are way off. When you kill a doe, you more often will remove 2, 3, or even 4 deer out of the next years herd (depends on if the doe has a single fawn or twins or maybe even triplets). When a fawn is killed, there is only one deer removed from the next years numbers, plus in most areas, fawns have a high morality rate and many do not even make it though the winter to the spring where the doe already has that experience in surviving a winter. another thing is, there is a good chance that the fawn is a male, so then you are not even removing a female from the system.

From your statements on this forum alone, I honestly would be thinking that the alloted tags allowed for what is to be killed by the government is correct ans your thinking is incorrect. You have proven that your misguided and I know that they have more knowledge and education in how to manage deer herds.
