Make sure you use the rail lube that came with it, or any brand will work. If not you will pay for that rail lube over again in what you pay for putting a new serving on from not using the lube! Its good stuff, make sure you use it, I would say I use it about every thirty or so shots, I do not count but That would be my guess on how much it is used.

Shot it today for the first time. Used what came with it. The stuff Rebel Hog mentioned. Like you, didn't count but don't think it can be over lubed? Looking for good target ideas???

if you do not want to make your own, wich if you do a serch theres a couple of threads on here about targets get yourself a good bag target Cabellas sells on that is basically the same target as the Morelle Eternity target which is a good one, and Dan speaks of a yellow target he uses for broadheads that is working well maybe he will chime in and tell which one it is I forgot, I have been using the block target for crossbows and would not buy another one..

I've been using the MacKenzie[sp?] layered foam which are bright orange and have cables on the corners which you can reposition twice each to tighten them up. I got them for both type heads, but have recently gotten a Morrell Eternity bag target which I really like for field tips. To make your own, can't help ya, think you start w/ a gazillion Mal-Wart bags, lol. Dan Miller sells a pair of arrow pulling pliers that are the best $11.00 I've spent, pic enclosed. I have the Block target and as time goes by I like it more, being shot at alot must be helping it. The one handed arrow removal is a total lie though. I bought the block cause the few bag targets I tried my arrows went through them, or at least enough to ruin the vanes. I here some say hanging a bag target helps alot too. As Dan said the home made version starts out with alot of wal-mart bags and some scrap cloths and you pack it in as tight as you can into a burlap bag and you are good to go. Never done it, but thats what they say. I think DNK can offer more details on the home made version stuff.

Retiredarmy: Dan runs/owns Horizontal Archery, Sardis, Oh. I'm sure he ships anywhere in the USA. He's also the USA warranty rep for Excal and a heck of a knowlegable and nice guy.

I'm going off of memory here, which can be dangerous these days, lol, but if I'm not mistaken, B-netts need heavier than normal arrows, like in the 440's or above, 22" long, and I think they recommend 125 gr b-heads, prolly to get the FOC up some on the heavy arrows. Maybe some of the other guys that shoot them can tell you how they tweak theirs.

Pretty good memory, the book recommends 450 total grains including TIP.
Am assuming that is what came with it. They are not marked, but so far so good....

Hey Bill retiredarmy, I vist my wifes kin in Nashville and Dunlap. How far is that from Chapmansboro?
