Ok, here it goes. First I have a NEW 06 model Ten Point Pro Elite accu draw 50. And I must say it is AWESOME... I have watched the video and when it is talking about different types of arrows (BOLTS), it says that the Ten Point uses a 2 degree helical. Now I go to my local bow shop and they are telling me that the arrows(BOLTS) are 2 degree offset and NOT helical, do you guys know exactle if they are helical or offset.Now do any of you guys or girls fletch your own crossbow arrows (bolts.) If so what type of fletcher do you guys use and where did you purchase it from.

I have very limited experience w/ fletching, just got an Arizona E-Z in rt hand helical. Not sure how many degrees, but seems to work good, am playing w/ it, 4" duravanes and Blazers as time permits. 1st batch of Blazers were real impressive [to me] at 30 yds. There's lots of fletchers here, sure you will get some good advice.

lots of fletching jigs out there. i use a bitzenburger. can't remember where i bought it....i think www.bowhunterssuperstore.com. most arrows you buy are offset fletch. i like a helical. either work well with xbows. good luck.

OK Helical usually starts at 6 degree's and goes up to 11 degree's, lw or rw. Its a spiral( curl )way the fletching clamp makes the vane or feather take set at an angle. An offset is nothing more than taking either end of vane or feather and move it left or right 2 degrees and uses a straight clamp. A circle has 360 degrees, you maybe able to get as much as 4 degrees total offset! From 0 to 8 degrees is all you would would ever need on an arrow fer CB at its useable range 0 to 35 yds.

Yup! Mike's got it right! Only thing I would add is that you won't notice anything in normal hunting ranges with more than a couple of degrees. I use the Martin jig (I have two) and I am happy. I also own a Bohning and a Cabelas and they are ok. The only thing you have to deal with is the receiver that accepts the nock end. You will have no problems with the Arizona. Just make sure the Arizona is a new one. I have an old one and it is crappy.

I use the same multifletcher that I used when I had a shop,with the helical clamps and a slight offset;this keeps arrows from wond planning which they will do with a fix broadhead from time to time otherwise. Lee
