Well, I'm going for it. Kinda high for this neck of the woods, but got home today and had two messages on the phone from buddies in Illinois. One said he was in for $200 a yr and the other two said they would pitch in $500, so looks like I'm gonna cut a fat one in the rear. I've got a friend going to the property next week to go all thru it, something I can't really do well, and unless he finds something wrong I'll close the deal 11/06, just in time for the rut here. Life is good, lol. thanks guys for your input, and if ya'll are ever going to be near me, let's gig a pig!!

I know you're excited! My DH wantsto go hog hunting, but the land we've leased doesn't have any. Which is good for the landowners, but not for DH. I'm hoping we can find something closer to home than the deer lease we're on.

You lucky dog,
To me it's worth the price just having a safe place to hunt. I want to take my 8 year old out with me but in my area there are so many hunters that public hunting is not so safe.
I have one place that is private land but we havn't seen much. The farmer just signed a group of six up for gun season so I won't be heading there during that time. My wife worries each time I have taken him with me but doesn't say anything.
I would give much more than your spending just to have a safe place to take him.
