Default Red Dot scope battery

What kind of battery life do you guys get out of your red dots? I just bought a horton 150 and it came with one. I figures I would go ahead and get an extra because I am sure I will forget to turn it off one night.

Also, I have noticed that the red dot moves based on the angle of your eye. Will you still be on target if the dot is not in the center of the scope?

Thanks

The first year I had a red dot I went through four batteries I think. But this was due to me leaving it on. As time went by I got better. Last year I put a new one in for dad at the beginning of season and he is still using it this season.

As far as the dot moving, it's not. You aremoving and it makes it look like it is. Set your CB on a table and benchso it can not move. Then pic a point that it is aiming at and then move your head around. The dot may appear to move in the scope, but you will notice it is still on the target.

SGTLOWE: Welcome to the wonderful world of parallax! It's an optical illusion thatcan be beat by holding your equipment in the same place every time.
