Default ground blind

Got my new and first time ground blind from thebig brown truck man this week. I put it up as per directions and it is a snap. It's a Yukon devistator hub blind, 60" square in fall camo. It is black inside as someone said to be sure it had and has shoot through mess windows. Also pockets inside on the walls to put stuff and two hangers overhead for lights or scents or whatever. I think it will be neat to use as I have never even been inside one before. I have it up and letting it air out for a few days and then will spray it with scent killer. While sitting inside it this weekend in my back yard thinking, I imagined a yukon ground blind salesman getting questions from rookie deer hunters or brain damaged people or whomever and I came up with a few questions he might get asked. No, seriously, I bet he would get some questionslike this.
1. Is it legal to shoot blind deer out of a ground blind?
2. Will an arrow bounch off the window mess material and go ricocheting all around inside the ground blind until it hits something solid, like a human?
3. Is the roof metal rods strong enough to fasten your safety harness to?
4. What kind of floor can I put inside my ground blind that is biodegradable?
5. Is the windows big enough for blind hunters to shoot out of?
6. Are all ground blinds machine washable? And if so, do you just use sports wash for them?
7. And finally, how high up in a tree do I need to put my ground blind so deer won't see it?

I'm sorry guys, my mind wonders and worries about people like this and I personally don't want to be within 500 miles of this questionee. LOL.

Hee hee - too funny! I'd be interested if you post us a evaluation of the blind after you have had a chance to bowhunt thru it.

Ok Buddy, tell Captain Morgan to go to bed and use that new blind. You're going to love it when it gets real cold out! Some guys acutally use heaters in them! I the winter you can put it on a sled and drag a full bar along with a sleeping bag, cot, couch, tv etc!
Seriously though Buddy, you won't go back!

I've been wondering about those myself. Curious to see how it works out for you. Keep us posted.

I bought a dog house blind last year and never used it at all! I had trouble with it when putting it up in the back yard. I felt like I was putting up a dome tent and could not see myself doing it in the dark of morning and trying to be quite. So this year I put it up for dad and my nephew to use, going to leave it out there. Dad has a hip that hurts sometimes so he needs the blind when the ladder stand looks like it may be to much. The nephew needs it cause he can't sit still if his life depended on it! LOL, I remember being young! But anyways me and dad really wanted to go out this past Thursday and when we got to the spot the wind was bad and it was cold! So we decided to go sit in blind together. And the whole time I was in itI was like where have you been all my life! The wind was a blowing hard and me a dad just sat back and talked all while being nice and warm. Now I am either considering getting another one for next year, or building permanent ones from scrap pallets at work. It was nice to be warm and out of the wind!

Jason, go to a store and try a pop-up blind. They type that has for rings of spring metal that form the four walls. Here's the link to Eastman's. I have a carbon pop up blind. http://www.eastmanoutfitters.com/blinds.shtml
Once you get the hang of it it takes about twenty seconds to put it up or put it away. Some guys never get the hang of it. My hunting partner can put it up but cannot put it away! LOL! I always have to do it for him.

Mine is pop up, but has two polls that you have to put in once its up to hold the roof up! Can you get a sixty by sixty that all you do is "POP" up? I to had trouble getting it to fold up, but after a few times was able to get it. Trying to put the polls in from the inside was what I disliked!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that. You mean those fiberglass rods that go from corner to corner and cross at the top? Most times I use one or none. Mostly cause I'm lazy. If I think it may rain or snow I put both up but don't have a problem. I find that a good led head light helps a whole lot.
