Hunted Friday evening and saw a nice 7 pointer. I let him walk. Hunted in 13 degree weather Saturday morning and saw a doe, I let her walk. Hunted Saturday evening and watched a spike for the last thirthy minutes of light and I let him walk. Morro: If you ain't hungry and don't need the meat and you ain't just a killer, let Mother Nature have her way and watch her march those beautiful whitetails by ya in all their glory. She just might march old grand daddy by youthe very next time and you can wake up the woods with your shouts! LOL

Just got back from a two day muzzle loader hunt. It was windy every morning and evening. There was snow on the ground and about minus ten celcius. No deer moving at all. I snooped in the bush and weren't moving within 500 yards of the tree line. I guess the wind doesn't allow the deer to protect themselves with their hearing and sense of smell. I can only imagine that they are browsing/eating near their beds. Bummer!

Well this was last day of last ML season and i took my Blk.Dia. i need meat in the freezer real bad! I saw 11 deers allDoe's and young'uns and all were running and no Bucks were chasing. I was still when 9 of them went by and i jumped 2. Didn't get a shot, not a good day fer me. Deers 28 me 0!

Was in climber Mon. morning didn't see nutten! Had honey do's rest of day. Lost power last nite so messed up getting me up and it was raining a good frog strangler. I will try this afternoon. 3 days left of last Bow season!

Well, no hunt today, waiting on the does to show back up on game cam. Haven't had one deer since season opened Oct 1 and was getting a bunch per week til mid Sept.

Jason: Congrats again on this great thread which now has over 3000 hits and am guessing more posts than any other thread on this forum!! What a swell idea!! Just have to wonder how many of the 3000 found out xbows aren't the do all end all of deer hunting??

Hunted past 2 mornings nothing close to me. I have my climber on big ridge all adjusted now. Using rifle in mornings in case one comes out into field. Using CB in ladder stand in afternoons!

Well guys, today is the last day of Ohio's two day gun hunting season. Went out yesterday and deer scored 4 and I am at zero. I was walking back to blind and I could here deer crossing tracks, if you have never heard a deer go up a steep RR bank, its loud!! Well it sounded like it was eighty or so yards in front of me and going into the swamp, so I was excited. Well I get to my path that I had cut and here something off to my left. Look over and here is a doe about five yards from me looking me dead in the eye's! It's amazing that how when its dark they lose all the fear compared to daylight. Well it wanted in the swamp and I was in its way so it turned around and went back into the feild and cut in about fifty yards down the tracks. I turn my light on and looked into my blind area since it is only about thirty yards from RR tracks and what do I see? Two sets of deer eyes about ten yards from blind, and its 45 min until legal shooting time! SO I camp out on tracks and watch them, figuring I could wait until daylight, get a shot, or spook them in dads direction. But a train went by and they moved on when it blasted it's horn so no deer! Jumped one up on the walk to dad, but it was running and never stoped, so I did not shoot. Maybe some luck this evening!

Thanks guys for the comments! I is nice to have everyones stories in one place for review and good reading. I also like that we can make post about just normal hunting to see what every one is up to. I plan on copying this whole thing after season and keeping it as a journal.

Just got another permission half an hour away. Lots of deer sign, corn fields, apple orchard, bean field. Can it get better? Yes if it was three months ago! Lots of tracks and some BIG ones! Thats ok, there's so much hunting to do and too many places to hunt! Gotta stop shooting geese and duck! Oh well, my last kick at the can is between Christmas and New Years. I'm not working and I am not going to goose hunt!:eek: Please help!!!!! I gotta stop! There's always next year but the last few days is deer only![&:][&:][&:][&:][&:]
