Cant answer your question, but they say when kids are interested in hunting its a short time and if you don't get it going they will quickly find other interest. Good luck and keep him in the woods!!

Are you going to be in the same stand with him? If so and its a double seat let him shoot yours. I know you said it was to heavy and too big, but can rest the stock on rail. If not then a knee pod rest, you certainly can't let him alone. The lightest Bow i know of is the Excal Vixen, they can be had off ebay under $300 and are great Bow.[:-]

I think he would get along real well w/ either the Slider or a Vixen. The Vix is a little lighter in the front, be nice if there's a place he could shoulder both.A rope cocker in either case will be nice both for accuracy and ease of cocking.

wow thats a big kid for 6. I'm 19 and due to some health issues i am only 4' 8" and 85lb and i shoot a horton legend xt that weighs in around 10lb it's a horse. I bet if you let him shoot yours off a rest he'd be just fine. I have no trouble handling mine offhand, so i bet with a rest he'd be ok.
