RE: KID QUESTION

Cant answer your question, but they say when kids are interested in hunting its a short time and if you don't get it going they will quickly find other interest. Good luck and keep him in the woods!!

RE: KID QUESTION

Are you going to be in the same stand with him? If so and its a double seat let him shoot yours. I know you said it was to heavy and too big, but can rest the stock on rail. If not then a knee pod rest, you certainly can't let him alone. The lightest Bow i know of is the Excal Vixen, they can be had off ebay under $300 and are great Bow.[:-]:D

RE: KID QUESTION

I think he would get along real well w/ either the Slider or a Vixen. The Vix is a little lighter in the front, be nice if there's a place he could shoulder both.A rope cocker in either case will be nice both for accuracy and ease of cocking.

RE: KID QUESTION

wow thats a big kid for 6. I'm 19 and due to some health issues i am only 4' 8" and 85lb and i shoot a horton legend xt that weighs in around 10lb it's a horse. I bet if you let him shoot yours off a rest he'd be just fine. I have no trouble handling mine offhand, so i bet with a rest he'd be ok.
