Default groundhog

I heard from a few folks that said groundhog tasts pretty good. Well, I got a few out beside my house in a small bean field just tearin the hell out of it so I figured I would help Kenny, the farmer, out and get rid of these destructive little critters and just maybe give the meat a try.
How do yall go about cookin a groundhog?

I have never done it myself, but my next door neighbor used to cut them up kind of like how you would do a chicken (in quarters) and then cook them just like fried chicken. So basically use a fried chicken recipe. Now I am hungry, gone have to get me a ground hog and try it.

Speakin of turtle, I got 3 people askin me to help them get rid of turtles in their ponds. 2 of them only got one big turtle, the other has quite a few turtles. MMMMMMMM MMMMMMMM! Turtle stew, here I come!

But, for the groundhogs, I need to step up the calliber. Tried the .22 with hollow points, but that, lets just say didnt work Gonna have to use the muzzleloader or the 12ga.

Sloooowwwww roasted young whistle pig can be fine eating , stuffed like a turkey or stuff with a veggie mix . Long slow cooking is the key , no more than 300 degrees . BBQed WP is excellent too . Don't try either method with an adult WP , they're only fit for target practice !

BBQ WP is great!! Like Kevin said, kill a young one and cook it slow. I cook mine in coca-cola before I BBQ it.
