Default Stew is cooking

Well its cold as Hell in ND again today. The wife had to work so I took her out to the plant and came home to make stew. I have lots of deer meat since I just poped a hugh doe with the muzzle loader. 105 lbs of boned out meat. I took a beef neck bone and simmered it with some deer stew meat while I cut up my veggies.. I added a quart of our tomatoes that we canned and about half a large head of cabbage. Then carrots ,spuds, turnips rhudabages. celery. onions , garlic, corn and peas. I usually add some tomato or V8 juice if I need more juice. My wife loves stew and I will have supper and sdeveral days of her lunch done by supper time. Oh and I washed all the dishes and cleaned up my cooking mess.

Not as cold here, Though the venison chilie is simmering in the dutch oven for later on. Its a ritual here on super bowl sunday for the wife and I . And the best part is that she's making it, Along with the corn bread of course.

We did finally get above zero today but before that the last three morning have been 31 below, 29 below and 24 below. Thats not counting the wind. I hope we are through the worst of it. Nobody in the football game that I want to watch this year.
