Grinder?

Remingtonman, I have the same grinder I purchased from Cabelas for $99.00 a few years back, there is no need in paying any more than that unless your doing it as a commercial meat processor. I highly recommend it for grinding any deer or big game as it pays for itself very quikly, Bobby

c'mon Bobby every man needs a Binford 5000 for grinding his deer a year
I agree you don't need anything special like I mentioned - I used a hand balmer and l-cheap-o electric prior to the Binford for my personal use. I would never have bought such a large grinder but my buddy gave it to me for great price as he upgraded. I do meat processing on the side...it just actually makes it close to a break even hobby with the speed increase when grinding for the fellas[

Errrrr, Errrr, 10, 000 mega watts of power, thats what I want, but I live on a volkswagon budget. I have used those hand-balmers you mentioned, started out in life using it, and its always their as I always use it for a back up.

I went to the new Cabela's in Hamburg PA last month. They had at least 5-6 grinders and all the toys to go with. I will probable buy one in the next year or two. I've been using an old hand crank grinder for decades. This year I used a food processor. It worked preety good.
I knew a guy few years ago that meshed up an electric motor to a large hand grinder. He had two of them, both worked great. Can't remember though what he used to spline the grinders and motors together. I'm going to figure it out and make one some day, just to play with.
