Default Scary Question ..

Last Sat. I was processing my buck..I noticed a big swollen sack between the bucks legs..it broke..smelled and looked like urine ran all over the deer cavity...I rinsed with water and my wife soaked MOST of the cuts in salt water for about 15 minutes..will the meat be of.

I say most as when I cut off the hind quarters we did not soak them..I simply brought them in the kitchen and cut them up.

SHould I soak my rump roast in salt water before roasting since I haven't soaked them yet?

Thanks for your time and knowledge?

yep, that "silver" skin on the meat protects it, regardless of what people say, that and busted guts wont "taint" your meat. It's in their head. The thin film over the muscles keeps the nasties out.
