We usually quarter them the long way and soak in a little brine overnite. Shake them in a bag (no pun intended) with some flour, salt and pepper. Then deepfry them till they float. Stir them with some BW3 wing sauce and bake on a cookie sheet. We call em Buffalo Balls-Leota style. Best served with beer. lots of beer.

no i'm not going to try that [:-]not that desperate for meat. i'd have to be starving to death first even then i'd have to think about it

It's not the idea of eating them is bad, it's what's in them that seems to be the problem.

My question is who was the first man to look at them and say , "Hey, we could fry them suckers up! Gotta be tasty." Still get a tingly feeling in the groin every time I think about them being sliced up and fried.
Really, I'm sure people will eat them and ENJOY them, BUT........just not for me! Thought issue..

Just to jump in on this thread. I know that it is an old thread. Calf fries are pretty darn good. I eat them every chance I can. That was one thing that was looked forward to at weaning time.

rocky mountain oysters are some good stuff and im no redneck, tried them when i was around 12yrs old. i havent tried deer nuts but bull fries i ll eat all day long believe it or not it tastes like tenderloin.just my honest opinion.
