I don't have my own, nut you can't beat the HighMountian Jerky Seasoning. I pick it up at Gander Mountain. I haven't had a bad batch yet, I do dry mine in the oven, makes it tender , not tough like leather. I add a little here and there just to experiment with it. I've tried my own combinations and for $5 or $6 bucks you can't beat it.

I also buy the ready to use stuff . It is so much easier and you don't have to go out and purchase a bunch of stuff to seldom use . I grind up most of my venison and bought a Jerky Shooter . It looks like a caulking gun and does a nice job with the burger . Oh yeah , the burger seems to absorb the seasoning better than soaking strips of meat . Just an opinion !

I recently tried the Jack's Link mixture found in my local grocery store. Very easy and it tastes close to the store bought jerky. Best I've tried so far.

I also like the High Mountain brand. I really like the Cracked pepper and garlic flavor although it is hard to find in that flavor.

Iprefer to use it on thinly sliced muscle meat as compared to burger.
