Any chileheads out there?
I joined a pepper seed exchange and right now I think I have the top 20 hottest seeds in the world along with several others.
I cant wait till this spring to get started. Do any of you grow different peppers other than the jalapeno and Habanera peppers? If so what type and do you have any tips? |
RE: Any pepper heads out there?
I plant 5 dozen Hungarian Hot wax, 1 dozen jalapeno, and some chili peppers. I eat the hot wax peppers with nearly every meal.
We also make pepper butter. This summer we made about 80 pints. YUMMY! The key for our peppers is keeping them wet, but not too wet...especially early. Once the peppers come on, we water and fertilize sparingly. |

I used to grow jalapeno, habanera and cheyenne peppers. I justgrow cheyenne now...and every once in a while growjalapeno. I really love the taste of cheyenne over the other two.dry them out and grind fer pizza.
Here are some tips 1. plant seed 2.water them 3. let them grow 4. pick them off for what ever use you want...lol. I like to use them when I make my Hot Italian deer sausage. |
