Jersey, :eek:just a little difference in the two.
Yivin, Several of the pepper seeds I have are listed as very rare and all will be rased in pots. I plan on starting them in the house and then taking them outside. I also want to fix them so that they cannot cross.

Starting them early in trays is a good idea however i've always had trouble trying to grow them in pots.
I grow cayenne, jalopeno, habernaro and bells. I also thought scotch bonnet and habernaros were the same.
I mix the cayenne and jalopenos together after they turn red and make my own hot sauce.

One other tip. If your area is prone to high winds be sure to stake them

I was told that you should never use peat moss in starting peppers. They said that the peppers would grow but then they would turn yellow and die.
I am trying to find a pepper called the trinidad scorpion. If what I hear about it is true I dont know if I will try one or not, but I would like to grow some for trade.
