How do you freeze turtle? Do I put it in a bag of water with no air and put it in the freezer or do it more like a steak and put it in a freezer bag with no air and do it that way? I catch them all the time and ive never known quiet how to save them but id like to so any info would be appriciated thanks, sean

I am not sure but I would say Vacuum pack it.

You should be able to do it either way.

I have done it both ways.
I also use a gannon milk jug. Cut out the top but leave the handle. Put crushed ice in the bottom and on the sides then make sure you have it covered with water.

I freeze them in water. have been doing it that way for many , many years.always good.I have a vacume sealer , but haven't gotten any to try to vacume them.it should work also,I have put fish in them with great sucess.

Turtle never lasts long enough around us for us to have tried freezing it .
