What's wrong with hunting in all these different area's?
I would jump at the chance to do that if my kids were older.
My wife works for a sporting goods rep. I keep telling her that if
she became a rep. I could quit my job and go traviling with her but she doesn't like the idea...oh well I'll keep trying
She did say maybe when the kids are older.

Indyhunter- I will be arriving in town the 10th of Oct. I will be visiting Union Acceptance Corp. My schedule is pretty light there, I could fit in a Fri-Sunday hunter there. Don't have to be back in Dallas until the 14th.
Bow_Hunter- the problem with hunting all those places is you need a place to go. Kansas has a draw only for non-residences so I can't get a tag and I don't know anyone in Southern California that hunts nor anyone in the Indy area. Doesn't leave much time find a place and I don't want to hire outfitters in all those places either. That'd be quite costly.
I do still have a hunt scheduled here in Texas for Oct 25-27 (Bow), then I go to Arkansas with my brother to hunt in-law property in early Nov. (rifle).

txbowhntr, I feel for you. I would really be ill if my work took me away from hunting for the next few weeks after all the practice and work I've done for the upcoming season. The only comforting thought I can think of is that at least your employed and can afford to drown your sorrows. Tonight, after practicing with my bow, I'll join you in partaking of the spirits.
You know, maybe something bad was going to happen during your hunts and God is just getting you away from it so you'll be safe.

tx, an Indiana non-resident license is around $120. Not sure if it would be worth the money for only a 3 day hunt, but thats up to you. I have a few places to hunt, but the best spot is in southern Indiana about 2+ hours from Indy so that might make for a lot more driving than you planned on. Let me know if there is an interest, I might be able to put something together depending if I get things around home situated for that weekend. That will be archery season and the weather is truly unpredictable here that time of year which might make for a lot of extra packing. If not, maybe we can at least hook up for a beer or two.

I hope you're on commission and can make a little extra money. Than way, when you get back, you can schedule a nice trip out of state where the season is still open. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> You gotta find the bright side somewhere.

Indyhunter I appreciate the offer and may take you up on it, let me confirm my itinerary and meeting schedule and I'll let you know. I just found out about this today. $120 is a lot cheaper than I expected and it'd get me into the field. I don't care about the drive time and could possibly depart from another location instead of Indy.
Either way I'd like to hook up and buy ya a beer.

Txhunter try the brookville lake area. There is alot of public land there. I have only hunted it a few times but there are lots of deer taken there every year. It is about an hour and a half from the Indy airport. If you are interested I can find out where the best areas are for ya. Let me know and I will gladly help ya out.
