shot my ultra mag for the first time today and the side winder is giving me some problems. I've got the pin housing as far down as possible, and my 1'st pin set at 20 yards (dont' need anything less than this cause they would be in the same spot as my 20) is in the middle of my circle, so i've got 4 other pines to fit in less than half the circle (because of the level). Is there any way to fix this problem? i can't see any way to. Can i take some of the pins off and do something with the flauresant chord or whatever? Or if fin and feather would let me take it back is there another site that wouldn't give me this problem? i spent a nice amount of cash on it so i'd like to be 100% happy with it.

I had to reset all my pins on my Trophy Ridge. I got a 5 pin model but really only use 2 of them. Can you reset the top pin higher than the middle of the sight or is that just where you want it. I had to raise mine closer to the top to keep them from bunching up.

Another thing is that when the bottom pin is scooted down clear to the bottom (against the level) its only 40 yards. While i probably wouldn't eve take a 50 yard shot, i'd like to at least be able to have a pin there to practice with it and see if i'd be able to. I also don't really like the last pin being right up against the level for obvious reasons

I also have a Hoyt Ultramag ,and a 5 pin sidewinder. I have my sight housing down all the way except for half an inch or so. And I put my 20 toward the top and worked my way out to sixty. Still have roughly at least 5/8 of an inch till my bubble. I don't know what kind of rest you shoot but maybe it is to low? Just quessing. I don't know what else would cause this. Don't give up on it yet trying starting you pins more toward the top possibly look at you rest. Hopefully this may trigger something. Though this is just my opinion hopefully you figure it out I love everything about my ultramag setup it has been wonderful.
