Sooner or later they will find the acorns.
I would set up in the hardwoods.

RAPTORMAN- HERES MY SUGGESTIONS. I BELEIVE YOU MUST ESTABLISH A FEEDING PLOT OR SOME AREA FOR THEM TO COME TO. I BELEIVE IN FAIR CHASE, SO IF YOU ARE GOING TO BAIT MAKE SURE YOU STAY WITHIN THE COUNTYS GUIDELINES. I THINK A CORN PILE THAT IS TENDED TO REGULARLY WOULD BE A GREAT ASSET,

SECONDLY I THINK THAT A MOCK SCRAPE STRING WOULD HELP YOU TREMENDOUSLY. I HUNT IN THE SAME SITUATION AS YOU. I HAVE A STRING OF 8 MOCK SCRAPES THAT TRAVEL FROM THE SOUTH OF ONE TREESTAND TO THE NORTH OF THE SECOND STAND. THIS HAS PATTERENED MANY BUCKS FOR ME ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS A MATURE BUCK THAT THINKS A YOUNGER BUCK IS IN THE AREA. IF YOU START YOUR SCRAPES EARLY ENOUGH I THINK THIS WOULD HELP YOU GREATLY.
