Within the past week I have been seeing plenty of deer that look great after a pretty tough winter. We have had over 114" inches of the white stuff this past winter and plenty of cold to boot. My local deer in Rochester, NY seem to be no worse for wear. How about telling us if you are seeing good/bad results from this past winter in your locales?

We had a very mild winter this year, seeing a lot of deer on the property as the snows melting and the vegetation is tring to poke through. Bobby

We don't have a lot around here but I have seen latley a yard around my place that has a least 50 deer in it. Very exciting for this area. Saw a deer the other day that hide itself in some corn stubble when I drove by. One of the most exciting things that has showed up around my place is a pack of turkeys. I've never seen them around here before. I've been here since 89.

We are 30 miles East of Syracuse - Syracuse has had 137" snow for the season so far (40" less than last year) but still above normal.

Last weekend I did my annual - "Property walk" looking for winterkill - and/or coyote kills. I did not find any winterkill. and saw "normal amounts" of coyote tracks (no kills).
The deer have hit the standing corn we left HARD

But...... It seems they have done OK -
I saw plenty (groups of 20 - 75) on bare hilltops on my way home.
