Gunhunter thinking of starting out bowhunting. Should I buy new or used equipment, and what's the best setup to start out with.
Thanks!

The pse deer hunter is a good bet. Comes in 60 or 70 lbs, less than $200, i think i got mine on clearence for like $120. Comes with rest, site, and quiver.

New or used is fine either way, the most important part is that it fits you and is setup properly by someone who knows what they are doing.

Well the guy's and gal's in here helped me make my mind up as to where to go to get started.. I went to a ma & pop shop... I was treated like a king and the guy's there helped me and explained how and why they were setting me up the way they did.. This is going to be my first year bowhunting and I cant wait.... OH GOD can it be hunting season yet... I got a PSE Spyder 4 which was set at 50 pounds and they dropped the weight to 45 as I am not a big guy at all.. They cut my arrows and showed me everything on and about my new hunting equipment.. I am loving it and when i get better I will get a better bow and it did cost a little more than other places but for sure I didnt get the same treatment... so I suggest you got to a local outfitter and feel the employees out and see who takes better care of ya! They tend to only give you what ya want and need...
