One of the differences between 3d and hunting is the time you have to shoot. Many people like the simplest setup for hunting. 3d would be more complicated and specific. Pin setup is a good example. In a hunting situation I prefer one pin out to 30 yards. and compensate by holding a little high or low depending on the yardage. 3d would have a pin for the each yardage. Low light conditions are also a factor in hunting. Weather is as well. Just think about the differences in the two and you'll see what needs to be different. Noise is not a problem in 3d but noise indicates speed loss. Camo isn't either.
